Remedial Services
Remedial Services deal with restoration of the data network to a fully
operational state in accordance with the service provider's or manufacture'rs
specifications following any outage. This includes restoration of network
services and emergency procedures and activities.
Restoration of Network Services
- Monitoring of systems to enable service orders to be acknowledged
in the time frames prescribed
- Performing standard operating procedures and activities to restore
the service
- Using tool sets to record data and update service progress as required
noting severity and escalation procedures
- Perform technical escalation
- Despatching third parties to rectify faults in accordance with response
time
- Carrying out Root Cause Analysis (RCA), including outage cause and
duration, business impact, and preventative actions to avoid a repeat
fault
- Reporting failure and restoration activities to key parties
Emergency Procedures and Activities
These cover all the activities required to be performed in the event
of a disaster, including:
- If required, on site support for emergencies both real and trial
- In collaboration with key customer personnel - performing activities required to restore data services in accordance with the relevant performance specifications of manufacturers and service providers.
